Trail Description
About this trail
The Fullerton Loop is a fairly popular ride right smack dab in the middle of Orange County suburbia. While it’s not going to win any awards as the next big mountain bike destination, this 11-mile loop right in the center of Fullerton is easily accessible to the residents and makes for a great training ride or a great loop after work.

Utilizing a number of different trails and greenways and unmarked sections of singletrack, the loop is surprisingly easily to follow. There are a few spots where you might need to look at a map to figure out which road to take to connect back to the trail, but for the most part you just need to look for the bike tracks and see where they go!

While most of the main trails are wide, multi-use doubletrack, there is a ton of singletrack options off to the side, many of which are well-defined and are even marked. There are a few jumps and drops thrown in at intervals to keep things interesting, as well as I few berms/wallrides, including one that’s about 10 feet tall!

If you live in Fullerton or are staying here for a while, you should definitely hop on your bike and go check the trails out.

Review: Love this trail. I'm just getting back into riding after not riding for a few years. This is a great trail for people just starting out or if you just want to stay sharp. Pretty heavily trafficked 7 days a week, so follow the crowd and you won't get lost. Once you get passed the golf course and head towards the damn there are a ton of options. I find myself spending a lot of time in that area near the jumps (still a bmxer at heart). Overall good trail. Starts with some short but serious climbs. Not good for my fatass but is still very fun and rewarding. Would recommend checking it out if you're in the area.

Review: Just ride the loop for the first time with my 12 year old for his first "mountain bike ride". The loop has its moments, but mostly wide urban walking trail with a few bits of singletrack sprinkled about and tucked into the sidelines of the main trail. I searched out as much as I could but I'm sure I missed some here and there as it was my first go around as well as keeping tabs on my boy. Probably won't ride this trail again unless to continue to acclimate my boys. There is just too much good stuff close by to settle for this ride and the ridiculous crowds. Can't say I didn't have fun though. For the right rider this might just be the bee's knee's!

Review: Just rode Fullerton Loop in its entirety yesterday after not riding for 15 years because of being overweight. It was great. Its not too dangerous and a good trail to ride to get back in the mix. There are some great fast downhill sections that i enjoyed and my goal is to go back and hit them faster over time. The trail was very dry and loose, fell a few times because i have forgotten how to ride in dry conditions. Whats great is that you can exit the trail and hit a major street at anytime if you wish to call it quits early and head back to your car/home. My party also enjoyed stopping at several sites like Laguna Lake park to eat and take selfies. There are enough people traveling the trail on foot or bike to assist you if you do something stupid and are laying in a bush bleeding to death lol. I enjoy this trail because its not too far from home and it takes you away from the city just enough to put a smile on your face.

Review: This last review is from an elitist that obviously doesn't know how to have fun. Not every ride needs to be super technical or "in the mountains" to be a legitimate ride. This route is fun and a nice change from surrounding area trails. For being smack dab in the middle of suburbia the trail system is awesome. There's some really fun single track if you know where to look and also some nice climbs with roots to navigate. I would much rather ride this than a bunch of fire roads like at some of the other local ride areas. Call it what you want but it is a fun ride. For me I usually do 2 loops for a total of 22 miles w/ just under 2000 ft of climbing. I'm not super fast but it takes me a little over an hour to complete one loop.

Review: This is not mountain biking. It is at best an urban obstacle course made up of rail trail, sidewalks, street, horsetrails and other paths cobbled together to create the illusion of mountain biking for riders who are afraid to actually go out and find a real trail. If you rated this above a two star, please go try out some real trails at Aliso, Whiting or Chino Hills and then come back and reassess your rating.

Similar Trail: It's not a trail.

Review: Great ride for being right in the heart of suburbia. It's no destination trail, but it was a nice, easy ride that my legs appreciated as a change of pace from the grueling climbs that I've been putting them through!
