Trail Description
About this trail
Nordic Mountain is a ski hill, the trails are a mix of single and double track weaving in and out of the ski runs and through wooded areas. Very technical in some spots, other sections are super fast. Climbs can be tough but it is a great mix. Maps are on the website but aren't actual trail maps for the hill, they are the trail for races held here. Trails are marked at the single track entrances for the most part but it can be very confusing weaving in and out.. and watch out or you may end up on a downhill run (unless thats your gig). You can get into the trail system at many points, but I use the single track that heads up next to the wake park.

Review: Don't let the difficulty rating scare you away. There is plenty of riding for intermediate rides at Nordic. Pay attention to the down hill trails so you don't get in over your head. Lots of fun to be had. Take your time to figure out which trails you can ride safely. There is some good forest single track to the south east of the water ski pond. Start there and work your way up. The best part...there is no trail fee or parking fee.

Review: Great trail with lots of amazing single track. Challenging and fun at the same time with plenty of climbing, some rock gardens, technical descents and fast single track. Can get confusing at some points in the summer when the grass has overgrown the sections in between the ski hills.

Review: I don't know if this venue is always open to bikers or not, as I have only raced here. There are long climbs up the mountain and technical rocky descents, all ok for intermediate-advanced riders. It's a ride that will give you a good workout.

Review: Trail is also free! Check out the race maps available on the website www.nordicmountain.com or the race maps on the Subaru cup website www.subarucup.com. The Cat3/Junior course is the easiest. There are some very technical sections and also some downhill runs throughout the hill. I would suggest taking it easy the first time heading downhill until you know the trails. Outside of the race maps there are numerous trails and many combinations for a ton of variety. Overall a great ride with some difficult climbs and technical trail that you don't find elsewhere in the area.
