Review: There are dozens of trails through the trees at Riverfront Park. Some get very overgrown by September and several have weeds that can over your head and sections of burrs just to add to the fun. The trails closest to the Yellowstone River can be pretty sketchy during high water as they can and do collapse into the river. Some trails that existed two years ago are now gone. There is very little if any maintenance and some trails have been blocked by downed trees. In early summer be prepared for high water on several trails. But this is a fairly safe and easy place to get some experience at singletrack. There are some challenging trails at the eastern end of the Park, everything from hard packed dirt to gravel to very soft sand to babyheads.
