Trail #316 can be accessed from the Thumb Butte Trailhead. It climbs through ponderosa pine forest to a ridge, then descends through pine, oak, and riparian forest along Willow Creek. Trail #316 ends at its northern junction with Trail #317, therefore it makes a great loop.
